The oil derives its scientific name as Cinnamomum Cassia. Generally the cassia oil is extracted by steam distillation of leaves, twigs, barks and roots of cinnamon cassia tree. The oil other name is false cinnamon. Cassia oil promotes healthy digestion and immune function. Cassia essential oil is somewhat similar to cinnamon oil and hence looks like cinnamon.
