Melissa Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Melissa Officinalis. Malissa Essentail oil is also known as Lemon balm, common balm or just balm. Melissa oil is extracted from flowering tops, leaves and stems of Melissa shrub through steam distillation process. Melissa oil helps in improving appetite and helps maintaining proper blood pressure. The oil is also having anti-mucous properties which help in fighting common cold, coughs and flu.
