Citronella Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Cymbopogon nardus. Citronella oil is extracted from leaves and stems of lemongrass which is a tropical clumping grass best known for its citrus like scent. Because of high fragrance the oil is used widely in manufacturing perfume. Also the oil is supplied in air tight containers.
