Wormwood Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Artmesia absinthium. Other common names of the oil are green ginger, grand Wormwood, absinthe Wormwood or common Wormwood. Wormwood essential oil is obtained from steam distillation process of twigs, leaves and flowering tops of worm wood plant. The plant is a native of Asia and grows upto 5 feet tall. The oil possesses many medicinal properties but the oil is considered highly poisonous.
