Marjoram Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Origanum marjorana. The oil is also known as Knotted Marjoram and Pot Marjoram. Marjoram Essential Oil is extracted by steam distillation of the dried flowering plant of Origanum majorana. The oil is used to purify blood, mind and spirit since ancient times. The oil is also used to clear body of viruses and infections in blood. Marjoram oil is very calming and warming so it helps encourage relaxation before sleep.
