Cubeb Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Litsea cubeba. Other names of the oil include Piper cubeba, java pepper and kabab chini. Cubeb essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of the plant known as piper cubeba. The plant is a native of java and Sumatra islands of Indonesia and is grown widely in India and Malaysia.
