Citronella Java Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Andropogon nardus. The oil is also known as Sri Lanka or Lenabatu citronella. Citronella Java Oil is extracted from steam distillation of aromatic perennial grass. This oil is used mostly for stopping excessive perspiration and balancing oily skin. The oil acts as insect repellant and used in making soaps, perfumes and deodorants.
