Copal Resin Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Daniella olivera. Copal word is derived from the Nahuatl language word copalli meaning incense. Oil is extracted from the resins of copaiba tree using special low heat and low atmospheric pressure. Copal resin oil is being used for its medicinal properties. Oil is very rare and unusual commonly found in the savanna and grasslands of South Africa.
