Thuja Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Thuja Occidentalis. The oil is also known by the names as tree of life oil, cedar leaf oil, yellow cedar oil, American cedar oil or white cedar oil. The oil is extracted from fresh leaves and twigs of cedar tree by means of steam distillation process. The oil is considered effective in skin formulations. The oil is having properties like anti- rheumatic, astringent, vermifuge, insect repellent etc.
