Petit Grain Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Citrus aurantium. Other name of the oil is Corsica. Petit Grain Essential Oil is extracted from steam distillation from green twig of bitter orange plant. The plant is known by many names like sour orange, Seville orange, bigarade orange and marmalade orange. The name petit grain is given to this oil because the extraction of the oil is made from unripe oranges with green twigs. The oil is mostly used to prepare medicines and perfumes.
