The oil takes botanical name as Cedrus deodora. Cedar wood essential oil has the scientific name as Juniperus Virginiana and is also known as cedrus atlantica and cedrus libani. The oil is extracted from steam distillation of wood pieces of the cedar wood tree. The oil is used to treat nervous system and many respiratory problems.
