Vetiver Hydrosol Botanical name of this hydrosol is vetiveria zizanoides. Other common name of this hydrosol is oil of tranquity and khus. The hydrosol is extracted through water distillation of fresh roots and leaves of vetiveria zizanoides grass. The roots of the plant are nicely cleaned and dried before soaking them. Further after soaking the soaked roots undergo steam distillation for extracting the vetiver hydrosol.
