Sandal Wood Hydrosol Botanical name of this hydrosol is Santalum album. Other common names of this hydrosol are white sandalwood, east India Sandalwood, Mysore sandalwood and chandan. This hydrosol is produced by steam distillation from heartwood of sandal tree. This heartwood of sandalwood is extracted from the root of the tree which is powdered and then distilled.
